What we do

We are a team of local experienced midwives and consultants passionate about delivering high quality antenatal education. Through our face to face bespoke small group antenatal classes, infant first aid workshops and breastfeeding workshops, Nurture courses empower you to achieve a positive birth experience, provide relevant, up-to-date local information, and connect you with local families to help build a supportive community through parenthood. We limit our courses to 7 or 8 couples as we believe opportunity for true connection is developed in groups of this size.

​We will cover a range of topics including:​ Types of birth, Locations of birth, Stages of labour & how to manage them, Support from birthing partners, Birth preferences & birth plans,What to expect from health professional, Care options, Care of a newborn baby, Feeding options (breast and formula) & Feeding positions and attachment.

Who do we support

We were born out of a desire to connect local families having seen first hand the impact of loneliness and poor support during our work with families during the covid pandemic.

Based across Cardiff, the Vale, Bridgend, Newport and Caerphilly. We have several locations.

Being part of Nurture community we believe will equip you not just for now but for a long time through our annual teddy bears picnic and our Christmas soft play meet ups. We are professionals yes, but we are more importantly local Mums wanting to equip other local mums and connect them into a supportive community for their parenting years!

This service is for people aged 18+.

Is there a charge to use this service?

Yes - Small group 5 session Antenatal Classes: £199 (for two, max 7 other couples) Contact us for single person discount
Breastfeeding Workshops: £25/per person
Infant First Aid £27/per person

Special Bundle Price- £249 includes two spaces on the Antenatal course, two spaces on the Breastfeeding workshop and two spaces on Infant First Aid

Can anyone use this service?

Book online via our timetable to see all our times, locations and availability. If you want to book for a date not yet advertised, please get in touch and we will add more dates. Antenatal Classes should be completed during your final trimester and ideally before 36/37 weeks. Our aim is that you leave feeling informed with up to date, relevant information, empowered to take the next steps on your journey with confidence, and connected to a support network of peers.
