What we do

Tutorperch is a UK directory of independent tutors.
The platform connects students and parents with independent tutors across a wide range of subjects, qualification levels, and exam boards — from KS2 and 11+ preparation through to GCSE, A-Level, IB, and university admissions tests. Browsing the directory and messaging tutors is free for both parties and requires no account to get started. When a family/student is ready to proceed with a tutor, a small one-off fee unlocks contact-sharing between the two parties, after which lessons are arranged and paid for directly between the student/parent and the tutor. Tutorperch takes no commission on lessons, making it a lower-cost alternative to traditional tutoring platforms.
Tutors listed on the platform can hold DBS (England & Wales), PVG (Scotland), or AccessNI (Northern Ireland) safeguarding verification. Support resources including plain-English guides on subjects, exam boards, and the tutoring process are freely accessible.

Tutorperch is a web-based platform accessible via any modern internet browser (such as Chrome, Safari, Firefox, or Edge) on a desktop, laptop, tablet, or smartphone. No app download or specialist software is required. An email address is needed to create an account and message tutors.
