Have choice and take control
Unique is a transgender self-help and social support group. We hold mainly social evening meetings on the first Thursday of each month in Bangor, and on the third Thursday of each month in Prestatyn.We also run self-help morning drop-in meetings on the second and fourth Friday of each month in Rhyl, and co-run an LGBTIQ+ group with Denbighshire Mind and Pride Cymru/GOGA on the afternoon of the fourth Friday of each month.Unique also hosts two Zoom meetings each week on Thursday evenings and Saturday afternoon.We offer diversity training on transgender matters to public and private organisation.
The meetings are for all transgender and gender diverse people, their families, partners and supporters.Diversity training is available to any organisation wishing to learn more about transgender issues.
Depends - There is no membership fee for joining Unique, but we charge a £1 attendance charge at our monthly meeting to help cover the cost of hiring the venue.Diversity training is provided free of charge, but we usually ask for travelling expenses and a voluntary donation to the group funds.
