Rondel House Day Service is situated in Maes Y Cwm Street Barry and provides a service for older people who live in the Central and Eastern areas of the Vale of Glamorgan. The service has been remodelled as a centre of excellence for Dementia within the context of a Dementia friendly community, to meet the aims and objectives of the Dementia 3 year plan in partnership with Health and Voluntary Organisations. Our focus is to meet the assessed needs of service users and carers, promoting and enabling continued independence, providing information, support, reablement opportunities and care services.We currently run a 5 day service Monday to Friday and provide a safe environment where individuals can interact and have fun through a range of activities. The service is designed to meet individual need and interests, providing opportunities for up to 25 people per day. The Community Hub is also available to other local organisations that provide support to older people.
We support older people who may live with age related frailty, chronic illness, disability or mental health problems, including Dementia.
Yes - Charge determined through Financial Assessment. No-one pays more than £90 per week for their care package, which may include the day service. The unit cost of attendance for 1 day is £61.38
Referral must be made to Social Services for a needs assessment by a Social Services or Health professional.
