What we do

Our Support and Social Groups bring deafblind people together for companionship, to enjoy activities, share advice and tips, and have fun together.

The Wrexham area group meets at Capel y Groes, Holt Street (between Asda and Tesco) on the second Thursday of every month from 10:30am until 12:30pm.

Additional events and outings take place during the year.

New members and volunteers are always welcome - please just turn up or contact us for more details.

Who do we support

Adults (18+) with combined sight and hearing problems, their families and carers.

Deafblind Cymru, a part of DBUK (Deafblind UK), is the only national charity whose main focus is on acquired dual sensory loss.
We are a membership organisation offering a range of services, all of which are free to access by calling 0800 132 320.

We are the longest established national charity providing practical support for individuals who have difficulty with their sight and hearing.

By drawing on the learnings from our long and rich history (since 1928) we’ve developed a set of services that meet the changing needs of the
people we support.

All our services focus on unlocking the person behind the disability and on how we can work with deafblind people to achieve their aspirations,
no matter how simple or how adventurous.

Can anyone use this service?

Deafblind individuals can self-refer or be referred by any other organisation for free membership. Simply call 0800 132 320, or turn up at a meeting.
