What we do

National Youth Advocacy Service (NYAS) supports children and young people by helping them to be heard within the decision making processes. We provide a confidential Professional Independent Advocacy Service, which makes sure young peoples rights and entitlements are upheld.

Who do we support

Children and young people aged up to 18 who are involved with Children's Services, this goes up to the age of 25 where young people are looked after and receiving support from the Local Authority.
If you live in Blaenau Gwent and Caerphilly Independent Advocacy is available to all young people up to the age of 25.

This service is for people aged between 0 years and 25 years.

Is there a charge to use this service?

No

Can anyone use this service?

You would need to make a referral to our helpline but this can be completed by anyone who feels you may need advocacy support or for older young people they can self-refer.
