What we do

Now serving residents in the Eastern Vale!
Eastern Vale areas include: Dinas Powys, Sully, Llandough, Penarth and Wenvoe.
We deliver hot nutritious meals directly to your door 365 days a year allowing you to remain independent in your own home.
Our friendly team deliver meals with care and will happily plate up your food for you. Our service isn’t just about delivering food, it provides social interaction and a caring welfare check. We have a four week menu option which caters for a variety of diets, conditions and cultural choices. Please contact our friendly customer care team for the most up to date menu. We can cater to dietary needs whether that is gluten free, low fat/salt, low/reduced sugars, vegetarian, energy dense, meals suitable for diabetes, soft easy to eat or those that require kosher or halal meals. Customers can also tell us what they do and do not like – we ensure particular ingredients are not included within the meals such as pasta/rice/chicken/beef etc.

Who do we support

This affordable service caters for people of all ages and you can order meals as a one-off, temporarily, or as often as you would like them.

If you meet one of the following criteria you can receive the service;

- Having difficulty preparing a meal safely
- Unable to shop for food
- Liable to self-neglect or would eat an inappropriate diet without the service
- Have a mental or physical disability
- Needing support due to recovery from hospitalisation or illness; carer illness or holiday bereavement.

This service is for people of all ages.

Is there a charge to use this service?

Yes - £6.94 – Meal and desert
£6.01 – Just a meal

FREE delivery 7 days a week!!

Can anyone use this service?

Our Meals on Wheels team deliver hot, nutritious meals to customers across the city and you can now self-refer to the service or be referred by family, friends, and neighbours without the need to contact Social Services.

 Opening times

Hot meals are delivered Monday - Sunday inclusive between 11.30am and 2pm. Our Meals on Wheels service runs for the whole of Cardiff and delivery is FREE.

The Meals on Wheels office is open
Monday to Friday, 8am - 5pm
Saturday and Sunday, 8am - 2pm
