Have choice and take control
We provide a voluntary lifeguard service targeting 13 to 18 year old's at Llantwit Major LMSLSC providing key development programs that enable our youth to make an easy transition from Nipper to qualified Surf Lifesaver. The club teaches surf lifesaving skills, first aid and surf safety knowledge to its members and encourages surf lifesaving sport as a way of gaining confidence/fitness. Sandhoppers cater for children aged 5 to 7 in the Summer months and provide a great introduction to lifeguards, activities include beach games like flags and obstacle courses. Our Nipper program is for children aged 7 to 13, on a weekly basis we provide a fun filled program of activities and competitions over the summer with Nipper carnivals and regional titles. Our aim is to get all active members to improve their fitness and water skills through a series of competency tests from the age of 5yrs right through to 16yrs when they will be able to take the Junior Lifesaver Award.
