What we do

MESiG Wales (ME Support in Glamorgan) is a community support group for people with Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (M.E)/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (C.F.S), Fibromyalgia, Lyme Disease and related chronic illness. Established since 1988 and revived in 2004 by volunteers with personal experience of these conditions, who wanted to see change.

Members are from Cardiff & the Vale of Glamorgan but we welcome anyone from across Wales. We welcome those in the medical field, social services, benefits and support agencies.

We aim to raise awareness and services for sufferers. We are involved in advocacy and lobbying of the health boards, Welsh Government, plus support campaigns at a national and global level, including Millions Missing.

Support Group Meetings are the first Monday of each month via zoom 3-4.30pm
Phone or email anytime. We also meet at the Terra Nova Cafe at Roath Park on the second Monday of the month at 2pm.

Who do we support

Anyone living with ME/CFS, Fibromyalgia, Lyme Disease or related chronic illnesses.
We support patients, carers, family and friends.

We also have support from Julie Morgan AM, student groups and related services.
We welcome support or interest from any medical professionals or the general public.

Is there a charge to use this service?

Depends - Monthly Support Group - FREE, all welcome
Annual member subscription - £12, includes receiving the bi-annual newsletter by post, home visits or support with medical appointments.
