What we do

Cylchoedd Meithrin are Welsh-medium playgroups which give children an opportunity to become bilingual (in English and Welsh).
All the childcare in a Cylch Meithrin is in Welsh. This is where lots of children start learning Welsh. Most parents with children in a Cylch Meithrin don’t speak Welsh themselves and they can start learning with their children if they wish.

Who do we support

Cylch Meithrin Min Y Ddol offers various Playgroup sessions for children aged 2-4.
It is an approved setting for Flying Start 2yr old sessions. It is approved to provide 10 hours Funded Early Education (Spring and Summer terms) from the term after children turn 3yrs, as well as welcoming all children to attend the playgroup sessions.
Cylch Meithrin Min Y Ddol is registered for the Childcare Offer for 3–4-year-olds and offers wraparound sessions to compliment any of the above sessions.
Experience/Training/Qualifications: Manager has Level 5 and 3 staff members at Level3 in Childcare and Learning Development. All staff are DBS checked and attend mandatory training in Safeguarding, Food Hygiene and Pediatric First Aid and are Makaton trained to Level 2.

We can provide wrap around care. We are on the school site and Nursery class children join us form Ysgol Min Y Ddol nursery.

  • £0.00 per Hour - Flying Start sessions are funded via your Health visitor or apply via Flying Start. 9-11.30am
  • £0.00 per Session - Early Education Entitlement - from January to July for children in the term after their 3rd Birthday
  • £10.00 per Session - Cylch Meithrin playgroup 9.00-11.30
  • £15.00 per Session - Nursery Plus - school nursery wraparound afternoon session 11:30-3pm
  • £15.00 per Session - FEE wraparound 9am - 1pm
