What we do

Cylchoedd Meithrin provide Welsh- Medium childcare for children usually aged 2 years to school age. Cylchoedd Meithrin offer a range of childcare services from full day care, sessional care (for 2 - 4 hour sessions a day) or wraparound care with the local school.
All the childcare in a Cylch Meithrin is through the medium of Welsh and children absorb the language naturally. Most parents who send their child to Cylch Meithrin don’t speak Welsh themselves and they can take advantage of learning Welsh with their children if they so choose.

Who do we support

Registered to provide full day care to pre-school children from 2 -4 yrs old. An approved setting to provide Flying Start sessions for 2 yr olds, Funded Early Education sessions (January to July for children in the term after their 3rd birthday).
The Meithrin Mwy sessions offer childcare that wraps around the School Nursery class until the end of day.
A Breakfast Club and After School Club is also available for preschool children from the age of 2yrs. (see weblinks below for our other sessions).

Sessions run from Breakfast Club 8.05-9am, Meithrin or Flying Start sessions 9.00-11.30 daily. The early education runs 9.00-11.30 Mon-Thurs. Meithrin Mwy (Playgroup Plus) 11.30-3pm. After School Club 3.00-5.10pm daily.

  • £11.50 per Session - After school club 3.00- 5.10 pm ( age 2-4yrs)
  • £14.00 per Session - Cylch Meithrin (Playgroup) - 9am to 11.30am
  • £18.00 per Session - Meithrin Mwy (Playgroup Plus) - 11:30am - 3:00pm
  • £4.50 per Session - Clwb brecwast (Breakfast club)
