What we do

This setting is based at Penycae CP School. Penycae Childcare runs a playgroup, Playgroup/Nursery wraparound care as part of it's childcare provision. From January 2026 Flying start and Early Education sessions will be split up the Early Education sessions will be 9:00 am till 11:30 am and the Flying start sessions will start at 12:15 pm till 14:45 pm. and the Nursery plus session will be held in the Nursery room 11:30 am till 15:00 pm.

Who do we support

All children from 2 yrs and those who attend Early Education and Nursery classes at Penycae school.
Experience/Training/Qualifications: All staff are DBS checked and attend mandatory training in Safeguarding, Pediatric First Aid and Food Hygiene.

  Our opening times and availability

We are available: term time only. Also offers an Afterschool Club from those who attend from age 2yrs old.

We are available during the following school terms:

  • Autumn term
  • Spring term
  • Summer term

We can provide wrap around care. For early education and Penycae nursery class children only.

  Our costs

  • £0.00 per Session - 10 hours of Funded Early education
  • £11.50 per Session - Playgroup afternoon or nursery plus session with deductions for 3 or more sessions.
  • £8.50 per Session - Playgroup morning

Discounts per session per sibling.
