What we do

A care home is a residential setting where a number of people live.

Residential care is often provided for people that may have difficulty living independently, however some people prefer to live in a residential care facility due to it providing security, social interaction and ongoing support and assistance that is unobtainable through care at home (i.e. domiciliary care). People often have the misconception that residential care is a "last resort" and only need a care home when they are very unwell or completely unable to manage, however there are many residents that simply enjoy the many benefits a care home has to offer.

Spring Gardens Residential Home is situated in the Pillgwenlly area of Newport; within walking distance are two doctors surgeries, two chemists, the Royal Gwent Hospital, Belle Vue Park and a newsagent/general store. Newport city centre is under one mile away.

The home has well-kept secure garden areas at either end of the building, there is plenty of seating to just relax and enjoy the day.

Residents will have access to multiple community based services when living with us; if you are not able to access these within the community setting then we can arrange for the services to visit you. These include;

• Vision Call Opticians
• Hairdresser
• Chiropodist
• Community Dentist

We provide accommodation, care and support for up to 33 people with a diagnosis of Dementia whom also may or may not be physically frail, have a sensory Impairment. 1 bedroom is utilised for short term /respite care.
We do not provide nursing care
